I highly recommend Dr. Wilson. I have a major fear of the dentist, but Dr. Wilson and his nurse were very calm and patient with me. I called him at 3:45 a.m., and he answered my call. He also followed up to make sure I was okay. He was very informative about everything he would be doing, which also put me at ease. If you’re having an emergency, don’t hesitate to call him day or night.

The only truly 24/7 emergency dentist. I had the displeasure of an extremely painful toothache on a Sunday. All day I placed over 23 phone calls to different dentists. I even began calling hospital emergency rooms to see if any of those facilities were equipped for a tooth extraction. After 4 hours of calling and leaving messages, only one called me back. He opened his practice for me at 7 p.m. Though it was late to start with, I at no point felt that Dr. Wilson was rushing or trying to get me out the door quickly. He gave thorough and detailed explanations of all my options for how we could navigate to a solution for the pain I was having. It was close to midnight when I left, and when I left I was pain free. In the end it was a pleasure meeting Dr. Wilson, I will be forever grateful for the service he provided to me.

Amazing dentist and performed an extraction late in the evening for me when I was in tremendous pain on my way home from a job with 3 hours left to get home! I could write a book with all the positive things to say about Dr. Wilson and his assistant and can't think of any negative or even anything that was even average. I live hours away but will be getting my work done here because a good dentist is tough to find, but one like Dr. Wilson is like a needle in a haystack.

Let me start by saying I can’t give enough praise to Dr. Wilson and his helpful assistant. When he advertises 24/7, he is serious, as he answered my call in the wee hours of the morning on a holiday weekend. Dr. Wilson was able to promptly see me, giving me a concise evaluation while making me feel very comfortable. He performed my dentist needs and did such a wonderful job. Knew I would probably need a tooth pulled that was infected from a previous root canal. Kept getting put off by other dentists; infection was getting worse. Dr. Wilson got me in within 3 hours. He explained everything to me; did not feel rushed at all. He was thorough with X-rays and checking on me through the entire process. Everyone from the front desk to the hygienist to Dr. Wilson were top notch. I drove about an hour to get to him and was worth every mile. The price I was charged was actually less than it would have been just for the consultation at the dentist I was going to go to. My husband was up all night with a terrible toothache, and by 4 AM on a Sunday morning, we were desperate for help. After a quick Google search, we found Dr. Wilson — and to our surprise, he actually answered the phone himself, pleasantly and professionally. He did a quick phone evaluation and kindly offered to see us as soon as we were able. From the moment we arrived at his office, Dr. Wilson was incredibly accommodating and thorough. He took multiple X-rays and performed a detailed physical assessment. Ultimately, my husband needed two extractions, with plans for implants once healing is complete. Dr. Wilson was calm, compassionate, and clearly skilled. We felt cared for and in very capable hands. Highly recommend!

Dr. Wilson is absolutely amazing, an incredible doctor and human being. I struggled with severe pain on a weekend and called at least 15 different “emergency” dentists, none of whom were able to take me in until Monday. Stephanie, his assistant, was the only one who called me back and was able to fit me in within a few hours! Dr. Wilson took great care of my situation and explained in great detail what was happening and steps/options I had to treat my jawbone infection. He then started a root canal, which took care of my pain right away. He gave me detailed instructions to follow and called the next day to check in. I am blown away by the level of care of Dr. Wilson and Stephanie. It’s so rare, and I am so thankful to them for helping me in my situation.

Dr. Wilson and Stephanie are truly amazing! I had been struggling in chronic tooth and ear pain for over a week. I went to my regular dentist, and she informed me I would need my back molar out due to damage, and it wouldn’t be easy as my wisdom tooth is rubbing against it. My dentist referred me to a dentist that could perform the extraction, but they couldn’t see me until May. Everywhere I called told me the same thing, a consult first and scheduled tooth extraction two weeks later. I couldn’t wait that long; I was in agony, and I’d had enough. I was given Dr. Wilson’s details from New Hope Dentist, and it was the best thing that ever happened. Dr. Wilson saw me within 2 hours. He had me X-rayed and the tooth out and sent home with medication, and they checked in with me the next morning. I cannot recommend Dr. Wilson enough. If you require urgent dental care this is your team and your safe place! Thank you, Dr. Wilson. Thank you, Stephanie. I appreciate you both for your compassion, your patience, and understanding.

We looked at Google for anyone who can help her and we stumbled into Dr. Wilson practice. When we called, Dr. Wilson answered the phone and was very pleasant even at 1 a.m. When we got to his practice in the morning he was very kind and compassionate. Needed emergency treatment for a severe infection which caused agonizing pain and swelling while on a trip. Dr. Wilson answered the phone at 6 a.m. and had me come in to his office right away. Did a thorough examination, identified the problem and explained exactly what was needed... he worked tirelessly for almost 3 hrs and made sure I was as comfortable as possible the entire time. Called that evening to check on me and stayed in contact over the next few days to ensure I was healing properly. He is a great dentist with a wonderful staff... I’d make this my regular dentist office if I could… Highly recommend!!!

I wrecked one of my teeth trying to keep up with my seven-year-old at a trampoline park on a Sunday afternoon. They were able to get me in a chair in an hour and had me patched up shortly after. Bedside manner was friendly and informative. Everything was explained thoroughly but without making me feel like an idiot (besides the idiocy inherent to attempting an American Ninja Warrior course at 43 with no preparation). I can't recommend this place enough to anyone in need of emergency care or even just in need of a family dentist.

I was sick from COVID and developed a secondary infection of my wisdom tooth. My dentist was closed, and Dr. Wilson waited for me to get to his office late at night so he could exam and extract my tooth. He took his time to explain all my options and what was going on in my X-rays. He provided emotional support and made me comfortable the entire process. I am a registered nurse and I have never seen a doctor with such excellent bedside manner. He gave me yogurt to eat after because I had not eaten all day and gave me medication to take home. My tooth no longer hurts! He called me personally the next day to make sure I was OK. I am so beyond grateful for his service. 10/10 would go again. Thank you so, so much!

If I could give Dr. Wilson 10 stars I would. Very knowledgeable. He explained, step by step, each process as he was going through the procedure. I had a tooth that was infected and cracked. I called; his office personnel said, "Come right up." It was an excellent experience made enjoyable given what needed to be done. What was a painful emergency last night is just a memory today. I had been dealing with a bad toothache for a few days when it suddenly got way worse and my face swelled up. The pain was excruciating, and the swelling made me very nervous about infection. I have no dental insurance and didn't know any dentists in my area. I saw the other great reviews for Dr. Wilson and figured I would give him a call. He picked up personally at 10 p.m. at night! I scheduled for the next morning, and he opened the office for me. A few hours later, the tooth was extracted, and I was on my way home. Super professional, excellent bedside manner, and the whole procedure cost way less than I was expecting. Think I found a new dentist!

I called the office on Sunday due to severe pain from a broken tooth and jaw infection. Dr. Wilson answered immediately himself. He was very kind and was able to get me in within 30 minutes of me calling. When I arrived, they took my vitals (which I’ve never had a dentist do, and I actually think this is a great thing to do!) and took X-rays. Dr. Wilson was very thorough in his explanations as to what was going on, and made sure to answer any questions I had. He was able to remove 2 teeth (one which another dentist failed to remove due to not being able to properly numb me) and didn’t rush it or make me feel anxious at all. He gave me plenty of time between numbs and carefully tested my teeth to make sure I was numb before doing anything else. He made sure that I was comfortable before removing the teeth. Once he did, I felt instant relief. Once done, he gave me very thorough aftercare instructions and said if I had any pain or issues to call and they would get me in right away and that I could even text the office photos if there was an issue and he could try to address if I should be seen right away or not. So I definitely highly recommend this practice!!! Very, very compassionate and knowledgeable staff! :)

I just had to write a review. I'm 19 years old. At the beginning of the pandemic I realized my two bottom wisdom teeth were grossly decayed and needed to be extracted. Since all dentists were closed because of COVID, I had to wait it out. When they finally opened again, I tried to get an appointment. Mind you, I wasn't in the best of moods, as I had been experiencing constant pain for about 6 months straight, most of it concentrated in my ears. I could hardly relax or have fun with my mom or do really anything I wanted to do, and with college coming up soon, I knew that I wouldn't be able to concentrate on schoolwork in this condition. All of the dentists I called were booked until August or September, and I just couldn't wait any longer. I finally decided to search for "emergency dental services" and "Richard Wilson, DDS" popped up. We decided to give him a call and are so glad we did! The appointment was made the very next day. I was a first-time patient, he did X-rays and pulled one of my wisdom teeth that same day (we thought it would be too dangerous to pull both at the same time)! I will definitely be going back next month to get the other one pulled. Richard and his staff were kind and made me feel safe throughout the entire procedure and even let me keep the tooth! I called Dr. Wilson's office at 9:06 a.m. on a Friday morning after suffering with a toothache for two days. I knew it needed to be extracted, so I had decided I would try to find an emergency dentist. Debbie answered the phone and assured me that the doctor could take care of me that day, but probably not until later in the day. An hour later, however, she called back and said to come in now—he would take care of it. By 11:00 a.m., I was sitting in his dental chair. When you go to an "emergency" dentist, you have no idea what you're going to get, but I was desperate. I had read all of his reviews, though, and they were so positive. Of course, I was really skeptical as to whether or not the reviews were real. After seeing Dr. Wilson, I can assure you that all of the 5-star reviews are real. He was amazing. His office is very professional, as witnessed when I first met Debbie. His nurse Victoria was also very caring. And Dr. Wilson himself is terrific. He spends a lot of time taking the X-rays and explaining what's going to happen. Having a tooth extracted is not fun, but in his capable hands, it wasn't that bad. Just to know my pain would be gone was such a relief. I was out of there in two hours. Later on that day, Dr. Wilson called me to make sure I was doing OK. I've had surgeries and never had a doctor call me to see if I was OK. As if that wasn't enough, he called me the next day to check in again. So, if you're looking for an excellent dentist/oral surgeon, I highly recommend him.

What's crazy is an hour after the procedure he calls to check up on me. This is by far the best dentist I have ever had.

Last Sunday, after being in excruciating pain for 48 hours from a bottom tooth with a hole from a cavity that had grown huge during COVID quarantine, I called Dr. Wilson at 5 AM, hysterical at that point, and by 7 AM I was in his chair being prepared for the tooth to be removed. I am a senior with leukemia, so I have not been near any people for a year and am extremely concerned about healing. I learned my bottom jaw was badly infected and was also given antibiotic meds for the week. Dr. Wilson explained everything and took his time to be sure I knew my options and understood everything he was doing. He was not judgmental. He actually felt like family. I am so grateful for him, his team, and for being available for emergencies to call at 5 AM on a Sunday! !! SUGGESTION to OTHERS: Everyone should have a current, up-to-date printout ready to grab with your general medical information, current meds, what you are allergic to, the names of your other doctors, contact people, and medical insurance info ready to grab in case you find yourself needing to see an emergency doctor or even in need of a hospital ER. You will be VERY glad you were prepared.

I cannot recommend Dr. Wilson and his team enough! I had the worst tooth pain the night before I went to his office - I was doubled over in pain and screaming. When I arrived, I was welcomed by his great staff and everything about my teeth and the procedure was explained to me in detail. I left his office feeling happier about my choices and will definitely take the drive for any procedures in the future. The one thing that stands out the most for me and my visit is how he treated me - I wasn't shamed for the state of my teeth, my insurance or my choices. He wanted to make sure that I, as a patient, was valued and I really felt that. Words cannot really describe the great treatment I received today.

Dr. Richard Wilson is awesome. I had an emergency situation with a tooth that was causing extreme pain that needed extraction. It was difficult to find a dentist who would take me the same day, but after reaching out to Dr. Wilson, he talked to me directly and told me to come in within a couple of hours. My whole experience there with him was very comforting from beginning to end. He always asked if there was pain and made sure he numbed the area as much as he could so there would be the least possible pain. Dr. Wilson is an excellent dentist. I had a great experience a couple of weeks ago when I woke up with excruciating dental pain. I called him at 6:30 a.m. He was kind enough to see me within a couple of hours. His chair-side manners, the diligence of COVID precautions, and evaluation are worthy of praise. The receptionist was courteous and professional. I felt that I received much-needed attention. Thank you so much for providing urgent and excellent dental care in the Doylestown region. 👏👏

I had teeth pain all night long the night before Fourth of July, and then the next morning Doctor Wilson agreed to meet with me on Fourth of July, which fell on a Saturday. I had never gone to him before, but he was listed as an emergency dentist nearby. After he examined me, he spoke with me about my various options and explained it all to me in a clear manner. He then performed a 1.5 hour dental surgery on me! A few hours later, I was pain free! And he even called me later that day to check on me to see how my pain was! He literally went above and beyond without even knowing me as a prior patient. I truly appreciate it, and cannot say thank you enough!

Thank you so much to Dr. Wilson for priceless help! I'm very proud to recommend this amazing doctor. I was in big pain from a wisdom tooth infection for around 3 days, and the next night the pain was unbearable; pills didn't reduce the pain at all. My husband started to search for help and found an emergency dentist, Dr. Wilson. The dentist was super polite, careful, and helpful; I can say he saved my life! I'm grateful to him for getting help so soon. The removal of the wisdom tooth was successful; the tooth was severely inflamed... After the removal I felt much better! The next week I came to remove another inflamed wisdom tooth, so now I have two lower wisdom teeth removed. The doctor said I'm healing very well, so I feel great! Next time I will definitely be back to Dr. Wilson!!! =)))

AMAZING!! My son fell off of his bike and was seriously injured. Other than breaking his arm, he also lost his tooth. Dr. Wilson was absolutely wonderful! I was in so much pain with a tooth that broke, my husband was calling around trying to find anyone to help! I am so thankful he found Dr. Wilson! I was always terrified of the dentist, but not anymore! Dr. Wilson and his assistant are top-of-the-line professionals. They made sure I was always 100% comfortable and took the extra time to go the extra mile (even for a last-minute, super late-at-night emergency call on a Saturday). Dr. Wilson is the best dentist ever! I have neglected my teeth for years and had the most painful toothaches! I called, and he fit me in on a Sunday! I am so nervous and anxious with any dental procedure, and he gave me nitrous oxide! The best money I have ever spent! He numbed me to where I felt nothing at all! A few sutures and it healed up great! Fast forward a month, and my wisdom tooth cracked in half! Lower jaw in so much pain I could not even open my mouth! He arranged for a 9 p.m. appointment to accommodate my work schedule. Nitrous again, numbed me to oblivion, and gently pulled out the tooth in one piece. Not one stitch needed! He is the best! And not to mention he personally calls you to check on you! I have found my dentist for life!

Dr. Wilson is a wonderful dentist. I was visiting my sister in the Doylestown area when I developed a bad toothache. I called Dr. Wilson on a Saturday morning, and he agreed to see me right away. He determined that I needed a root canal, so he did the first part of the procedure and then sent me home, with X-rays and notes, so that I could have it finished by my local dentist. I was so happy and comfortable with his work though, I decided to go back to him to finish the job. He explained every aspect of the procedure, was efficient but not rushed, and I had no pain, during or after. I would recommend him highly.

Dr. Wilson is an asset to public health in the Bucks County area. I met Dr. Wilson last Sunday night at 2 a.m. during the most painful medical emergency of my life. After months of pain following some major dental work, I was at my wits' end. I had spent the last few days going to my regular dentist, a new dentist, and finally the emergency room. None of them were able to correctly diagnose the issue and help me with my pain. In an act of final desperation, I found Dr. Wilson's number here and called in the middle of the night. To my shock, he answered and very clearly walked me through all of my options with the price for each clearly explained up front. I had a bit of a drive to the office; he kept in contact with me as we made our way towards Doylestown, and he was there right on time when we arrived (at 2:30 a.m. or so). Once in the office, he performed the most meticulous screening I have received from any dentist, quickly resulting in the correct diagnosis, a tooth that other dentists had completely ignored. During the height of my pain, I was convulsing and vomiting. A bystander would have thought that an exorcism was taking place, but Dr. Wilson was completely cool, calm, and reassuring, even bringing me ice water and yogurt throughout the ordeal. As soon as Dr. Wilson found the correct tooth, a numbing injection provided me such relief that I nearly fell asleep right there. An infection in my tooth was causing the excruciating pain, and a root canal would need to be performed. Again, he explained everything to me clearly and provided the price up front. He let me know my options and didn't insert himself into the treatment at all, leaving everything up to me. With my pain mostly relieved, and a much clearer head, it made perfect sense to me to allow Dr. Wilson to start the root canal. With my permission, he dove right in, setting to work fixing the three roots that were affecting my pained back tooth. As the sun rose through his office, I struggled to stay awake and keep my mouth open. The relief was unparalleled. The next day, his office communicated with my regular dentist about the treatment. But I will be following up with Dr. Wilson instead next week. He has earned my trust in a way no other dentist could. I called him in excruciating pain; I would have probably accepted a janitor with pliers to pull my tooth out at that point. When there is only one option, you go with that option. The fact that someone as qualified, caring, and experienced as Doctor Wilson was willing to even pick up the phone at that time of night, let alone administer such high-quality care, blows me away. I get the sense that he does this mostly out of compassion. Dr. Wilson is a public health asset to Bucks County.

I am pretty terrified of anything dental related, but my anxieties were truly at ease as Dr. Wilson took his time to explain every step of my procedure. He even asked through the entire procedure if I felt pain; he would pause and make it more comfortable. He also informed me to speak up to him at any time if something felt sharp. He kept me calm during the procedure and removed the tooth quickly. I cannot recommend this practice enough! This is the second time I have been there in the last several months. Last night (Friday) around 8 p.m. my husband had a horrible toothache which had been giving him some trouble for the past few days & I must admit, I’ve NEVER seen him in pain like this. I’m sure you’re thinking, “Can’t he just pull it himself?” Trust me, it may have been an option if I didn’t find Dr. Wilson. I began to search the internet for Saturday a.m. office emergency appts. & called several w/no luck or should I say, “hope” of getting him in anywhere. I decided to expand my mile radius which would give us a 2 hr+ drive in the pouring rain. I found Dr. Wilson’s website & his hrs offered the emergency appts. I called & I HEARD A VOICE! “Hello, Dr. Wilson.” I hesitated because I couldn’t believe it! I briefly explained the issue my husband was having & we started our journey to Doylestown. We arrived to his office a little after midnight, filled out all necessary paperwork & Dr. Wilson escorted us back to the operatory. Let me add, very nice office & extremely clean! After xrays were taken #30 (LR molar) needed a root canal. When it was all said & done & the 2.5 hr trip back home, my husband is sitting comfortably on this beautiful Saturday PAIN FREE! While I was in the process of writing this review, Dr. Wilson called to see how the patient was doing!! I arrived in PA on a Sunday afternoon for a business trip that would require a lot of talking and presenting. Unfortunately, a filling came out while flossing on Sunday night, which was causing me a bit of pain. I was able to speak with Dr. Wilson that same night, and he was able to fit me in the next day after work. Not only did he and his assistant give me a new filling, but they also helped identify other dental issues that I was previously unaware of. May of 2018 I was playing in an ice hockey game and was struck in the face with a stick, which broke my four top front teeth. All four nerves were exposed. It was around 11:30 p.m. The pain was unbearable. I called dentists frantically and, being that it was so late, received no answer. Not only did Dr. Wilson answer the phone at midnight, but he and an assistant (Debbie) came in at midnight to help. The pain was beyond agonizing and I don’t know how I would have made it through the night. They performed the extractions, gave me a bone graft, made me a temporary, and took the pain away. They worked on me until about 5 a.m. in the morning and I couldn’t be more thankful. I would give them ten stars. Unparalleled professionalism and complete compassion.

Truly phenomenal! Dr. Wilson and his entire staff were nothing short of amazing! I am so grateful for everything he did for my boyfriend.
